Fish circulatory system is a closed one loop system. it is low efficiency and clean and dirty blood mix. It is ment to pick up oxygen and food and then pick up carbon dioxide and other waste. the path goes through the arteries to the capillaries and into the gills where it will pick up oxygen and releases carbon dioxide through the gills. it then travels to body tissues to where waste is exchanged for nutrients then the blood travels back to the heart using veins. Oxidized blood returns from body to the sinus venosus which goes throught the large Atrium and then to the ventricle then to the conus or bulbus arteriosus which is covered with blood vessels. it then travels to the aorta which is a large artery an then goes to body. fish have one atrium and one ventricle making it a two chambered heart.
