Mammals respritory system transports oxygen ant carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to the cells. external respritory is when we breath through the nose to the lungs. internal is when gases in the blood are exchanged with cells. Nares or nostrils has hair to trip praticales. pharynx helps when it comes to food and air. the epiglottis is a small flap to separate food and air passages. and the Trachea is made up of rings of cartilage so it does not collapse. this is also your windpipe. within your lungs there is pleura that surrounde the lung. with in the lug are tiny air sacs called alveoli and they are connected to tiny tubes called bronchioles. The bronchioles are connected to the bronchi.
