Monotremes are oviparity which means that adults lay one or two lethery eggs per year. and the embryo feeds off the yolk within the egg.

Marsupials are viviparity and they go through giving birth to live young. their young are tiny and the are underdeveloped so they go into a pouch and feed off teats. Kangaroos fall under this category.

animals that are placentals are viviparity. They give birth to fully developed young. they are then fed by mammary glands until they are old enough to feed on their own. humans fall under this category along with squirrels, lions, tigers, elephants and many more.
